How I feed my rabbits:

           My rabbits seem to do the best on Pen Pals rabbit foods in this area.  It's first ingredient is alfalfa meal, which my rabbits do better on than a feed whose first ingredient is grain or forage products.  You start to wonder which products and how consistent their formula really is.   But different diets can work better or worse in different climates.  I also use hay, carrots, corn stalks, whole grain conditioner for show rabbits, a nursing doe supplement and a growing weanlings supplement.  
        The exact same diet can work differently in the exact same climate if one herd is managed for show, another herd managed for commercial meat production, another herd managed for pelts.  A herd than is kept in a barn with or without some temperature control will have completely different climate stresses and more gradual temperature changes than a herd kept in outside rabbit hutches.
         In other words- I recommend that you find out what is available in your area and perhaps experiment with feeding some littermates the different diets and see who does the best on which feed.
