We still have room for $80 Advance Deposits to secure your place in line. Most Livestock Guardian puppies are $500 each.
Many previous pups have become great livestock guards and family pets as they will adopt children as easily as lambs.
Sage and Tawney's litter included short haired Anatolian Kangal type, long haired Anatolian Kangals and Pyrenees haired puppies.
Colorado Mountain Dog qualifying details and guaranteed inclusion into the CMD breed development is $150 extra.
If you are not familiar with the Anatolian Shepherd or Turkish Kangal breed I invite you to research it.
The AKC calls it the Anatolian Shepherd and the UKC calls it the Turkish Kangal.
There are some puppies who have long Pyrenees type coats and some puppies who have the short Anatolian Kangal coat. The boys (on white) and girls (on purple) below will look like their mother's color Tawney when grown. She looks pure Anatolian Shepherd or Turkish Kangal but she is only 1/4 Anatolian Kangal. Her sire looks just like her and he is 1/2 Kangal Anatolian and 1/2 Pyrenees. All of Tawney's littermates looked just like her. The Anatolian Kangal gene is very dominant. Bell and Tawney actually have exactly the same Pyrenees mother from South Carolina! Sage is the father of this litter. Most of the puppies look purebred Anatolian Kangal but there are a few Pyrenees puppies in the litter. Since this is the first time I have worked with this breed cross I can only report their current coat length and I cannot guarantee their mature coats. Very interesting dna to work with!

2021 Puppy Information: Tawney's puppies $500 each
Please see the Ranch Pyr page for more pictures of the adults in this bloodline.
Our Ranch Pyrs shed easily with almost no grooming and drool very little if at all.
Anatolian Kangals have short but very dense hair and are doing well in Wyoming winters as long as they can get into a barn, hay stack or dog house with warm bedding.
The Anatolian Kangals also do not drool.
These pups should enjoy the job they are raised for weather it be protecting your livestock or your family or both!
Puppies can be handled for pet homes or started with livestock per request at no extra charge.
Deposits after they are born are $155 per puppy. The $150 will be subtracted from the puppy's balance, credit card processing through this website costs $5.
A Pyrenees litter between Sage and Gypsy is also planned. This fall litter may have lots of white Pyrs in it.

Ranch Pyrs
I keep a few dogs to protect the ranch stock- horses, sheep, goats and poultry. My Ranch Pyrs are about 85% Great Pyrenees with some Anatolian, Akbash and a touch of Saint Bernard behind them. I keep them for their livestock instincts and they are great at protecting the ranch. My original stock was chosen for their ability to get along with my children yet still be able to do their ranch job. My first female was from southern Colorado. I am now in my second generation of Ranch Pyrs.
2016: We started the spring with coyotes, then wolves, now back to coyotes. The adults are doing a great job. No losses!

A Gallery of some of our previous puppies.
Ranch Pyrs are hybrid Great Pyrenees for livestock guarding, meaning they have a few other breeds mixed into their pedigrees. My first had great hawk instinct and wouldn't let anything larger than a meadowlark land within her sight. Hawk instinct is the instinct to chase away birds of prey that might carry away lambs or other small livestock. Both her and her mate were also good at finding and staying with downed stock. I am hoping to maintain this in future generations. Not all of the Ranch Pyr puppies have had the double dewclaws, but then neither did my best Ranch Pyr! After all; it is the instincts that protect the stock, not the toes! Ranch Pyrs are a type of dog, not a registered pure bred. A couple of past pups have become therapy dogs, some ranches have reported good hawk instinct in the pups they aquired. Several have also become great family pets. One family farm reported a 5 month old girl completely turned on after only being with them for a week. She protected the poultry and wanted to hunt down the stray dog that tried to attack the poultry, herself and a human family member.
